I read the comment from "Anonymous" and from my interactions with Derrick I can only think that what he said was taken out of context. Every time I see Derrick, he remembers my name, my wife's name, my background, and he's genuinely interested to know how things are going. Anonymous' comment is incorrect because the administration goes out of its way to have students get what they want out of the Stanford experience. They certainly haven't approached me to tell me how to spend my time.

If it isn't already obvious, I use my blog primarily as a networking tool. It keeps my pre-Stanford network up to date on what I'm doing and from time to time I receive interesting business ideas that assist me in my role as an entrepreneur and investor. I am also pleased to hear from some readers that my blog is helpful to them in sharing my Stanford MBA experience, which is nothing short of exceptional. With that said, I need to sign off -- because I am really busy!
