It's great to see some discussion. I don't understand why anyone would make a $100K+ and two year investment in something, and then speak negatively of it. That's not to say you should paint everything rosy, but it's easy to forget that it's a real privilege to be here. It's easy for me to be happy here - my wife is tremendously supportive, we have a wonderful home in Palo Alto, my school experience is challenging and fun, and I just got a new company up and running. Oh yes, and the Boston Red Sox just won the world series!

The key reason not to paint a rosy picture is simply because life is not always peaches and cream. I thought Stanford MBA was doing a terrific job talking about the good and the bad.

Expecting people to believe that there is only good in an experiences is like expecting them to believe the moon is made of green cheese. The way you articulated dealing with problems, the insight you obtained and what you learnt from it was what got you into business school.

I can understand it being a privilege to be in a school like Stanford but there is no cause to push the dirt under the carpet. Stanford MBA was onto something real good, giving the prospective applicants out there a genuine window into the life of an MBA student in a droll, funny way. I for one would that over any other blog that promises only good things.
